Privacy
Written in plain language on purpose — this page describes what the service actually does with your data, and it is kept in step with the code. Last updated August 12, 2026. GlazeSnap is operated from the United States; questions go to opensourcewarren@gmail.com.
What we store
Your email address (sign-in is passwordless, by email link), the photographs you upload, any optional context you add (cone, atmosphere, clay-body color, what matters most visually), the match results saved to your history, and a credit ledger recording purchases and use.
Your photographs
Photographs are private by default. Only you — and site admins, for support — can view them. There is no public image feed.
Images are stored on local disk in development and in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket in production. They are deleted immediately when you delete an investigation or your account. An optional retention window can automatically remove old photos.
Account data
Sign-in is passwordless: we send a link to your email address and store no password. Your account holds your email, your match history, and your credit balance.
Payment data
Payments are handled by Stripe as one-time purchases — there is no subscription. GlazeSnap never sees your card numbers.
Who processes data
These services may receive data on our behalf:
- Anthropic — receives photograph bytes and the context you supply, to run the surface analysis.
- Stripe — processes credit purchases. GlazeSnap never sees card numbers.
- Resend — sends the sign-in emails.
- Neon — hosts the database.
- Cloudflare R2 — stores your images in a private bucket in production.
- Vercel — hosts the application.
Retention and deletion
Deleting an investigation removes its photographs immediately. Deleting your account — available on the Account page — removes your photographs, your matches, and the account itself. Anonymized credit-ledger records are retained for financial audit. An optional retention window can automatically remove old photos before you delete anything.
Cookies
GlazeSnap sets exactly one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
Where data lives
GlazeSnap runs on infrastructure in the United States, and the services listed above process data there. If you use GlazeSnap from outside the US, your photographs and account data are transferred to and stored in the US.
Your rights
You can see everything GlazeSnap holds about you from your own account: your match history is on the investigations page and your credit ledger is on the Account page. Deletion is self-serve — removing an investigation or the whole account takes effect immediately, as described above. For anything else (a copy of your data, a correction, a question about this page), email opensourcewarren@gmail.com and it will be handled directly.
No training on your images
Your images are not used to train models, and they never will be without an explicit future opt-in from you.
